Years ago I took a creative writing course. One of my favorite assignments was to take a note pad and listen in on various conversations. Maybe it's a conversation you are involved in or maybe it's one you are eavesdropping on, it doesn't matter. From each sample a line and write it down. String these lines of different conversations together into one short paragraph.
I still do this from time to time. Here is one from the other night.
"One night only,
These people are criminal.
The kind you stick in meat.
Pisses me right off." |
